Focused pulse wave shockwave therapy
For stubborn heel, elbow, shoulder, and tendon pain that hasn’t settled — a non-invasive option worth checking out.
Watch: how focused shockwave therapy works (80 seconds).
If you’ve tried rest, ice, stretching, or other care and the pain still limits what you can do, we understand how frustrating that gets. You don’t have to just live with it, and you don’t have to jump straight to surgery either.
At Premier Chiropractic Clinic, we offer focused pulse wave shockwave therapy at our Mt. Lebanon office as part of a full evaluation and treatment plan — not as a one-size-fits-all fix. First, we take the time to figure out what’s actually going on, then we talk through whether shockwave therapy makes sense for you.
The Pulse Wave focused shockwave system used at our Mt. Lebanon office.
Focused shockwave therapy uses focused pulse waves applied to the painful area. The goal is to help stimulate healing in stubborn tendon and soft-tissue problems, reduce pain, and help you move better — without surgery, medication, or a long recovery.
It is non-invasive, and most people go right back to their normal day after a visit.

How shockwave is described as working on tissue — elastin fibers, fibroblasts, collagen, stem cell layer, and angiogenesis. Diagram supplied by Pulse Wave.
These are the kinds of problems we see most often for shockwave therapy:
Heel pain, especially first thing in the morning.
Pain at the back of the ankle and lower calf.
Pain on the outside of the elbow that grips and lifting make worse.
Pain on the inside of the elbow.
Stubborn shoulder tendon pain.
Knee tendon pain, often in active people.
If your problem isn’t listed, call us — we’ll be honest about whether it’s something we can help with.
We look at what’s hurting, how long it’s been going on, and what you’ve already tried.
If shockwave therapy fits, we’ll explain what treatment looks like for you before anything starts.
If it’s not helping, we’ll say so and talk about what else might.
We won’t promise a specific result — every case is different, and the evaluation is what tells us if this is the right next step.
Most people feel pressure or discomfort during treatment, but it’s generally well tolerated. We’ll talk through what to expect at your visit.
No. It’s non-invasive, with no incisions and no long downtime.
It depends on the problem and how long it’s been there. We’ll give you a clearer picture after your evaluation.
We’ll check your benefits and go over options with you — call us and we’ll walk through it.
